Supernatural has become a great complex sci-fi thriller over the past ten years always finding ways to reinvent itself and stay fresh. The tone of the show is often somewhat dark but it is careful to not let itself get swallowed up by all the dark subject matter. There are many religious themes that are featured in the show but it does not let them take over and make it a religious oriented show.  Christianity is not the only religion which is reprented in the show many other religions or religous themes are also featured. The main theme that is in almost every aspect of the show is that of good vs evil. This theme is especially present when looking at the monsters and ghosts, as well as with the angels and demons. Every character in this show whether they are a minor or a major character are at least some part good and some part evil, no one is completly one or the other. The show does not always protray that line between good and evil as being strictly defined it is usually more of a grey area.  Supernatural is a great show to look at to pick out and examine various religous themes.
